The Gospel Dictates Truth – Voddie Baucham

Voddie Baucham shoots it straight while discussing, on CNN, the possibility of Sarah Palins being the vice-president and how that fits in with womens roles as defined in the Bible.

Perhaps the best nugget of truth from this video, “The culture doesn’t dictate truth, the gospel dictates truth.” – Voddie Baucham

  1. I love Voodie’s understanding and proper application of Scripture. As an evangelical who has a responsibility to vote this November I would point out if I were to look at the last 35 years Democrats have only held the office of president for 12 of the last 35 years and Roe v. Wade has not been overturned and yet the Republican party has utilized this issue as a way to deliver the evangelical vote to the polls for them in droves. I would point to many other issues that conservative evangelical Christians shouldlook at when they vote:

    a. Truth or lack of truth by those in power (W.M.D.)
    b. Helping the poor – ‘comunity organizer’
    c. Spreading false witness about a person
    d. Pride and Arrogance of those in power
    e. Justice for not only the unborn but for the born who can pull themselves up by their own bootstraps.

Just a few suggestions or things to think about.

  2. I am also quite fond of Mr. Baucham. It is a good point that you make, that things such as helping the poor are very important. Though, I cannot currently think of an issue that takes presidence over abortion.

Also, overturning Roe v. Wade is a large task, one that has recieved plenty of opposition. So it would be expected that a complete overturning of Roe v. Wade would take some time.
