I’ve spent the past two days walking back and forth around the college campus passing out little flyers for the debate… I’ve probably handed out at least 300+ flyers (and it is a relatively small campus so…) the debate is getting good publicity. Not only that, but while walking around the campus, I passed multiple groups of people who were talking about the debate; so there should be a pretty good attendance. Yeah! I am really excited! Only two more days!
My dad brought this to my attention a week or so ago and I thought it was pretty good:
The 23rd Channel
The TV is my shepherd, I shall want.
It makes me lie down on the sofa.
It leads me away from the Scriptures.
It destroys my soul.
It leads me on the path of sex and violence, for the sponsor’s sake.
Yea, though I walk in the shadow of my Christian responsibilities.
There will be no interruption, for the TV is with me.
It’s cable and remote, they control me.
It prepares a commercial before me in the presence of worldliness; it anoints my head with Humanism, my coveting runneth over.
Surely laziness and ignorance shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house watching TV forever.
I’ll post my 3 points from the debate (I’m am affirming the existence of God), on Saturday…
Today in my “Exploring the Bible” class went over Pauline Theology. We also looked at the “Gospel According to Paul.” Interestingly enough, this material was presented as if these were actually different from the rest of what the Bible has to say about God and the Gospel.
I find it fascinating that an author, divinely inspired and guided by the Holy Spirit actually has his own theology, which apparently differs from the theology of his peers (i.e. John and Peter).
Not only that, but I am in the process of acquiring a working bullhorn to use while doing open air preaching. Oooo, exciting!

This Friday me and one of my friends (Jordan) will be debating a couple of guys from Campus Activists for Atheism at the local community college. The debate will be over the existence of God. Hopefully it will go well. We have put a decent amount of time into preparing for the debate, and I am pretty pumped for it to finally occur.
In this debate Jordan and I have decided that our main goal and, indeed, our only goal, is to proclaim “Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” (1 Corinthians 2:2). We are going to refrain from getting caught up in logic and science alone, instead, we will be relying on Scripture and the Holy Spirit to persuade people.
